Widget menu
Commonly used widgets are called “Favorites”. You can modify these by adding or removing widgets from your dashboard in the Settings screen

Accounts widget
The Accounts widget provides quick access to view transaction history, customize your accounts in uOnline, and find tax information.

Transfers widget
The Transfers widget offers quick, 3-click transfers between your accounts, plus access to schedule transfers, transfer to another member, and set up transfers to and from accounts or loans at other financial institutions.

Bill Pay widget
With Bill Pay, you can schedule payments to any payee, plus view your payment history.

Add Products widget
The Add Products widget allows you to open a new account or apply for a loan from the comfort of your home or while on the go.

More widgets
Click More to access other widgets offered through uOnline. Some of the widgets we haven’t talked about yet include Budgets, Savings Goals, Check Services, eStatements and more.
Your Dashboard

Your dashboard
View your account balances at a glance in the “Accounts” panel. To customize, add, or remove accounts from the dashboard, click the gear icon.

Contextual help
Get help at any time by clicking the Help button. The details that display will be specific to the Widget you are using.

Access settings
Customize your account views, change your notifications, upload a profile picture and more in the Settings menu. You can also reach the settings menu from the Widget menu to the left.

Link external
Link external accounts from other financial institutions to view your balance and transactions.

Account and transfer activity
A quick glance of your recent account activity can be found here. You can modify the date range and type of activity you wish to monitor by clicking the Settings icon.

Log in to uOnlineLogging in for the first time
The first time you login, we’ll help you confirm or create your credentials and set up new security questions. It takes just a few minutes and may require a little bit of personal info so we can confirm your identity.
In this guide, we’ll cover the possible categories you’ll fit into:
Current users, including Primary Members with existing credentials
What you’ll need to register
- Your Existing Username and Password
- Hint: Going forward, you will have one designated username, either your account number or username depending on what you logged in with most frequently prior to our upgrade

Log in to uOnline
From the login screen, enter your existing username and password. Click “Log In”.

Security questions
Select and answer five unique security questions. Answers must be unique, no two answers can be the same.

Confirm phone & email
Confirm the current email, phone number and time zone is accurate. Make changes if necessary, otherwise, click “Continue”.

Load terms and conditions
Click anywhere on the screen, to load the uOnline Terms & Conditions.

Accept terms and conditions
Review the uOnline Service Agreement terms and conditions in order to proceed. When finished, check the “I agree” box.

PDF check
Before you proceed, we need to make sure you can open PDF documents. Click “Open PDF” and copy the code in bold print from the file that opens. Paste the code in the Access Code field and click “Continue”.

Get started
Start your new uOnline banking experience. Complete your profile, view your accounts, and customize your settings.

What You’ll Need to Register

Register
From the login screen, click “Register” to create your unique online banking credentials.

Choose account type
Next, choose to register as either an Individual or Business depending on the type of account(s) you have with Unitus.

Accept terms and conditions
Review the uOnline Service Agreement terms and conditions in order to proceed. When finished, check the “I agree” box.

PDF check
Before you proceed, we need to make sure you can open PDF documents. Click “Open PDF” and copy the code in bold print from the file that opens. Paste the code in the Access Code field and click “Continue”.

Confirm identity
Confirm your identity by entering your information into the required fields. Click “Continue”.

Choose username
Enter a username using only letters and numbers, and check availability to see if it is available. Next, choose how you would like to receive a temporary password and click “Continue”.

Enter temporary password
You will receive the temporary password via the method selected. Enter it into the password field and click “Log In”.

Create a strong password
Next, create a strong, unique password using only letters and numbers, and click “Continue”.

Security questions
Select and answer five unique security questions. Answers must be unique, no two answers can be the same.

Confirm phone & email
Confirm that we have a valid email, phone number and time zone and make changes if necessary, otherwise, click “Continue”.

Get Started
Start your new uOnline banking experience. Complete your profile, view your accounts, and customize your settings.

Setting Up Account Alerts
In this guide, you’ll learn how to:
Add mobile phone information to your account.

Open settings
Find the dropdown menu located near your name in the upper right and choose “Settings”.

Notification settings
From the settings screen, click the “Contact” tab.

Select phone number
Click the pencil icon next to the phone number you want to use to receive text notifications. uOnline uses a double confirmation code process for security, so you’ll enter two different codes to complete this process.

Confirm text messaging
Check the box to confirm that you want to receive SMS Text Messages and click the button to “Send a code via text.” The system will show a "Not Confirmed" message for phone numbers that haven't been verified yet.

Send code
Click the “Send Code” button to send a text message with an access code to the phone number you selected. Note: You can also verify your identity via the Questions or Email option if you prefer

Verify code
When the code arrives on your phone, enter the number provided and click “Verify.”

Resend code
Click “Resend confirmation code” to send the final access code to the phone number you selected. This code will expire after 15 minutes. If you don’t receive the code or miss the 15-minute window, click to send again.

Confirm code
When the code arrives on your phone, enter the number provided and click “Confirm code” button.

Save changes
Click “Save Changes” to complete this process.
Set up notifications for account activity

Open Settings
Find the dropdown menu located near your name in the upper right and choose “Settings”.

Notification Settings
From the settings screen, click the Notifications tab.

Notification options
The Notifications tab displays a list of alert options. For each alert type, icons indicate which delivery method(s) you have enabled (text message, email and push).

Notification gear
To start receiving balance alerts, click the gear icon on the Balance Alert row.

Alert toggle on
Switch the toggle to “On” and Click “Select Accounts” to begin setting up alerts for your accounts.

Alert thresholds
On the “Balance Alert” panel that opens, Enter a high and/or low balance threshold you wish to receive alerts for. Click “Save” when you’re finished.

Set alert method
Select your desired notification method for the alert by clicking the appropriate checkbox. If you’ve added a mobile phone number and opted to receive SMS text messages or have an email address listed for your accounts in the "Contact" tab, you can select one or both here in addition to Push notifications. Click "Save Changes"

Stop alerts
To disable alerts, select the gear icon and switch the toggle to the OFF position.

Linking External Accounts
Link external accounts to your uOnline dashboard

Get Started
Click “Get Started” under the Link External Accounts section on the right side of the dashboard. You can also link external accounts from the “Accounts” tab in the Settings screen.

External Overview
When linking your first external account a brief overview of the linking process will display.

Choose institution
Choose from a list of popular Financial Institution choices, or choose “Manual Accounts” if your institution is not listed

External login
Enter your login credentials for the external account you're adding. uOnline will use this information to gain view-only access to your account(s). Click "Submit" and, once verified, your list of external accounts will display in your dashboard

Log in to uOnlineMaking Transfers
What device will you be using?
In this guide, you’ll learn how to:
Make a transfer between your Unitus accounts

Transfer widget
From your dashboard, select “Transfers” from the widget menu.

Select source
Select the account you want to transfer from via the account options listed in the From section. Your selected source account information and the available balance are visible.

Select amount
Select an amount that you want to transfer. To transfer an amount other than the pre-selected options, scroll down and enter the amount in the “Custom Amount” field.

Select destination
Choose the destination for your transfer via the account options listed in the To section. Your selected destination account information and available balance are visible.

Make transfer
Complete the transfer by selecting “Submit Transfer”.

Confirm transfer
Review information on the Confirm Transfer screen that displays, then click “Confirm Transfer” to complete the transaction.
Transfer to another Unitus Member

Transfer to another member
To transfer money to another Unitus member, select the “Advanced” tab, then click “Transfer to another Unitus Community Credit Union member”.

Member information
Enter the required member information for the person you want to transfer money to. You can choose to save the account for future use if you send money to them often.

Save transfer
Click “Save”, then enter the source account and transfer amount information in the next screen to complete the transfer.
Create and schedule recurring transfers

Recurring source
To set up a recurring transfer, choose the “Advanced” tab, then select the source account where you want to transfer money from. You may choose one of your Unitus Shares, Credit Card, or linked external accounts.

Recurring destination
Next, select the destination account where you want to transfer money to. You may choose one of your Unitus Shares, Credit Card, or linked external accounts.

Recurring frequency
Enter an amount, the date you want the transfer to be completed, and how often this transaction should take place.

Recurring stop time
Select when you want this transfer to stop. You can select “Never”, enter a specific date, or the number of total transfers you want to complete.

Submit recurring transfer
Click “Submit Transfer”.

Confirm transfer
Review information on the Confirm Transfer screen that displays, then click “Confirm Transfer” to complete the transaction.

View scheduled transfers
To see your scheduled transfers, click the “Scheduled” tab. You’ll see a calendar with dates of upcoming transfers indicated by a yellow dot as well as a list of upcoming activity below.

Stop/Edit recurring transfer
To stop or edit a recurring transfer, from the “Scheduled” tab, find the transfer you want to stop and click the trash can icon. To edit, click the pencil icon. Please note: You may only edit a scheduled transfer before the first start date has begun. Otherwise, you must delete the transfer series and create a new one.

Transfer history
You can view previous transfer activity by selecting the “History” tab. Click the small arrow to see details about the transaction.
Add External Accounts

Add an external transfer account
From the “Transfer” screen, select the “Advanced” tab, click on “Add an External Account”.

Accept ACH terms
The first time you add an external account, you’ll be asked to read the ACH Transfer Policy and agree to the terms of use for the service. Click “I agree” to continue.

Enter external account information
Enter your account details for the external account you’d like to add on the “Add Account at another bank” screen. Click “Save”.

Send code
You will need to verify your identity by selecting a verification method. For text, click “Send Code”.

Verify code
Enter the code you receive via text and click “Verify”.

Confirm external account
Unitus will send two micro-deposits to the external account you wish to add which can take up to three business days. Once you receive the deposits, go to the Settings widget, click on the Accounts tab and confirm the external account.

Tap transfer
Open the menu and select “Transfers”.

Tap source
Select the source of the funds you want to transfer from via the account options listed on the Choose From Account screen.

Tap destination
Select the destination for your transfer via the account options listed on the Choose To Account screen.

Enter amount
Enter an amount that you want to transfer and tap “Continue”.

Tap complete transfer
Review information on the Confirm Transfer screen that displays, then click “Complete Transfer”.

Add recurring transfer
To set up recurring payments, change the frequency as well as select the end date.

Tap transfer activity
To view upcoming and previous transfers, select the “Activity” tab.

Edit recurring transfers
From the activity tab, you can tap a recurring transfer series and skip the next scheduled transfer or cancel the series via the mobile app.

Mobile Deposit
Deposit a check using your mobile device.

Open Mobile Deposit
In the uOnline Mobile App, open the menu and choose “Mobile Deposit”.

Mobile Deposit terms
The first time you use Mobile Deposit, we’ll ask you to agree to the terms of using the service.

Select account
Tap the "Deposit Account" field to select the account you’d like to deposit into.

Enter amount
Once you’ve selected the account, enter the amount of the check you’re depositing. (NOTE: If you have an iOS device, this screen will look slightly different.)

Check front
Select “Check Front” to take a photo of the front of the check you’re depositing.

Image Instructions
Instructions outlining check field requirements and how to capture the best image will display. Tap “Continue”.

Snap a photo
You can choose to take the photo of the check manually or select auto at the top right of the screen. Align your check in the photo frame provided until the app reminds you to hold steady. The app will capture the image when all the information is legible and within the frame. Repeat for the back of the check.

Deposit check
When both the front and back images have been captured and the deposit is ready, click “Deposit Check.” Your check will be processed and, if you’ve set up deposit notifications for that account, you’ll be notified when the amount is posted.

Savings Goals
Create a savings goal and monitor your progress

Savings widget
From the dashboard, choose “Savings Goals” from the widget sidebar.

Savings screen
Identify the Savings Share you’d like to assign a goal to and click “New Goal”.

New goal
Give your goal a name, assign a category and enter the amount you’d like to save. You can even add an inspiring image as well as the date you’d like to make your purchase. The system will do the math for you to determine how much you’ll need to save each month to meet your goal. When you’re ready, click “Save Goal”.

Spend funds
From the Savings Goals screen, monitor your progress towards your goal(s). Once you’ve met your goal, click "Spend Funds" to transfer your savings into an account where you can make the purchase.

Delete goal
When the transaction is complete, make sure to delete the goal or the system will continue setting aside funds for it.

Log in to uOnlineTracking Spending
In this guide, you’ll learn how to:
Create a budget

Budget widget
To set up a budget, select the “Budgets” widget from the widget menu.

Budget name
Keep track of the budgets you create by customizing the Budget Name Field.

Budget accounts
Assign accounts to your budget by selecting the checkbox to the left of the account(s). At least one account must be added to the budget in order to move forward.

Add expenses
Click Add a Category in the Expenses section. Select Expense categories from the drop-down list and enter the amount you want to assign to each category. Continue to select the Add Category button to add as many or as few categories as you’d like.

Add income
Click Add a Category in the Income section. Choose from the list of income categories and enter an amount in the field next to it. Select Manage Categories to create your own category.

Create budget
Select the Create Budget button to generate your budget.

Create additional budgets
To create additional budgets, select the Settings tab, click on the drop-down menu, and select “Create New Budget”. You can set up as many budgets as you’d like, however only one budget may be assigned to each account.
Assign categories to transactions

Budget transactions
From the Budgets widget, click on the “Transactions” tab. Select the Budget you want to modify from the “Select Budget” drop-down menu.

Categorize expenses
Click on the Category field assigned to any transaction, a drop down menu will display. Select the category you want to assign to the transaction by clicking on it. The new category will display next to the transaction you modified.

Edit multiple transactions
Select the checkboxes to the left of each transaction entry to edit more than one transaction. Choose “Edit Selected” to categorize of all the selected transactions.

Select budget
From the Budgets widget, click on the Summary tab to track your total budget progress. Simply select the budget you want to track using the Select Budget drop-down list.

Budget summary
This screen displays any alerts you may have set up for your budgets as well as a list of budgeted accounts and their balances. In addition, it captures your total budget progress for the current month based on the spending and income amounts assigned. Click “Income” or “Spending” to take a closer look at your monthly progress.

View spending
To see how your spending aligns with your budget expectations, select “Spending”.

View budget history
You can compare months by using the date slider to select a previous month’s activity or select “Range” to view several month’s activities at once.

Assign categories
Quickly jump to the budget transactions screen by clicking on a budget category. From there, assign categories to your transactions.

Complete assigning account to role
When accounts have been selected, the 'Assign Accounts' button will reflect the number of selected accounts. Choose this button to continue.

Edit limits
Choose the 'Edit' button in the Limits section to configure limits for selected accounts.

Complete limits
Check the box next to the method you would like to limit and complete additional fields. Use the 'Save Changes' button to complete setting up role limits.

Creating a User
From the Business Admin widget, create and manage existing users all from one place. Know exactly which users have access to specific areas within business banking. As a business admin, you are responsible for troubleshooting any issues your users may have.

Use the "Edit" button next to security questions. Provide a reason for resetting the questions then use the "Save Changes" button to continue. To delete a user, use the "Delete User" button at the bottom of the page.

FAQs - A better online banking experience
1. I am a joint member on an account. Why do I have to register as a new user in uOnline?
Existing uOnline credentials are associated with the primary member’s tax identification number. For this reason, it is important that each person create, if necessary, and maintain their own personal username and password. Need help getting registered? Check out out “How To” Guides section. Click on the ‘Get Started’ tab and select the ‘Logging In for the First Time’ How-to guide.
2. Having trouble logging in to uOnline?
Not recognizing your credentials?

- Go to the Settings widget and click on the Contact tab to register your device.
- Click the pencil icon next to your desired Preferred Contact Phone number.
- Click the “I Would Like to Receive SMS Text Messages to This Number” box.
- You will then be prompted to receive a code via text for verification. Enter it into the Code field and click Confirm Code.
- Finally, click Save Changes to enable text notifications from Unitus.
3. I’m trying to register as a new user in uOnline and received the message ‘We are unable to locate your record based on the information you provided. Please try again.’ What do I do next?
This typically means the information you have entered does not match our records. Please give us a call or stop by a branch convenient to you to review your information and make any necessary updates.
4. I’m trying to register as a new user in uOnline and received the message ‘We are unable to register this user for online banking. Please try again. Call 1-800-452-0900 and select option 1, if you continue to receive this message.’ What do I do next?
It is possible that you are already registered for access with that account number. Please try logging in using your existing credentials. If you are unable to access your accounts, please try the Forgot Username and/or Forgot Password links. Still not able to get log in? 5. How can I update my uOnline username and/or password?
You may update your username and/or password by visiting the Security tab within the Settings widget. There, you’ll be able to update your username and/or password as well as manage multi-factor authentication options.
