Unitus Gives $1,000 To Financial Learners This April With “Money Quest”

Portland, Ore., March 29, 2018 – This April, Unitus Community Credit Union will give $500 each to two participants of their Money Quest, a no-cost, four-week mobile and online financial learning program designed to educate members toward long-term financial health.
“Money Quest truly embodies the principles at the core of our credit union movement,” said Laurie Kresl, Unitus Chief Marketing Officer. “In addition to rewarding two lucky members with financial support, the objective of the quest is to educate our members and encourage them to take their futures into their own capable hands.”
“…the objective of the quest is to educate our members and encourage them to take their futures into their own capable hands.”
The four-week quest, running from April 2 through April 30, will take participants through four curated financial “playlists,” featuring a new one each week.
The playlists will teach members about essential personal financial knowledge such as how to manage savings accounts, how to build good credit, how to buy a home or vehicle, and how to protect their identity.
The winners of the two $500 prizes will be announced in early May.
To encourage participants to take a more active role in managing their finances, members’ odds of winning increase as they complete more educational playlists.
Registration will remain open until April 30 to both Unitus members and non-members at the Official Money Quest webpage.
Unitus’ annual “Money Quest” program first began in 2013, winning the Louise Herring “Philosophy in Action” Member Service Award for displaying extraordinary commitment to the credit union philosophy of “People Helping People.”
