A Message of solidarity from Unitus

The senseless deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and so many others have created deep pain across the world and within our community. This has brought about an essential awakening to the racial injustices and pervasive inequalities in our country. We support the protesters who courageously and peacefully march to bring awareness to these injustices, amplify Black voices, and enact meaningful change.

At Unitus Community Credit Union, our purpose is to navigate through life’s defining moments together with our community. We stand true to our purpose by standing with our community against racism in every form, supporting those who fight against racial inequality and discrimination, and showing up in ways that matter.

More than ever, we have a responsibility and an aspiration to make the communities we serve stronger and devote ourselves to the work necessary for continuous education and growth. In the spirit of bringing forth lasting change, we commit to providing ongoing support to organizations that fight injustice and bring about meaningful advancements for our Black and Brown communities. As an immediate first step, we are donating to the Black Resilience Fund, Black Parent Initiative, and Self Enhancement Inc. and will continue to have dialogue that deepens our commitment and understanding now, and always.
